The People Behind Icon Roofing

The Icon Roofing team is a small group of roofing and office professionals based in Mesa. Founder Zac Payne leads two Roof Advisors, a project manager, a production manager, an office manager and a social media manager. Together they inspect, plan, build and follow up on roofs across Metro Phoenix, using The Icon Way on every job.

    Zac PayneFounder

    Zac founded Icon Roofing after 8 years in the roofing industry, and he truly loves the work. He and his wife, Blakely, live in North Mesa with their four kids and their Australian shepherd, Koda. Away from roofs, he plays golf, softball and lacrosse and spends time with his family.

    Brendin is originally from Southern California and has called Arizona home for the past five years. As project manager, he coordinates the schedule, crew and materials for your job. In his free time you will find him playing beach volleyball, softball or golf with family and friends.

    Garrett was born and raised in Arizona and has spent 8 years building his career in the roofing industry. He takes pride in helping homeowners protect one of their biggest investments. He is a football, baseball and golf fan, and he and his girlfriend are raising two children.

How does the Icon Roofing team work together on your roof?

Your project passes through a few clear hands. A Roof Advisor inspects your roof, takes photos and explains your options. The project manager and production manager schedule the crew, line up materials and keep the job on track. The office manager keeps scheduling and paperwork moving, so each person knows what was promised to you.

That hand-off matters. The person who inspected your roof and the people who build it share the same photos and the same scope. Nothing gets lost between the estimate and the first day of work.

Who do you talk to during your project?

You talk to your Roof Advisor first. They guide you from the first inspection through the estimate and your decision. Once the work is scheduled, our project and production managers coordinate the crew and keep you informed. The office is available Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, at (480) 427-7600 for anything else.

Who will inspect my roof?

One of our Roof Advisors, Jake Schmieder or Orion Zarembski, will inspect your roof. They walk the roof, take photos of what they find and explain your repair or replacement options in plain terms. You see the condition of your roof for yourself before you make any decision about the work.

Who runs the crew on my project?

Garrett Settle, our production manager, and Brendin Chandler, our project manager, plan and run the work once your project is scheduled. They coordinate the crew, materials and timing so each step happens in the right order. Zac Payne, our founder, leads the team and sets the standards everyone works by.
